We finished off the week in fine fashion with a profitable grand slam, long with six Rolling Pk. 3's of $44, $136, $69, $75, $69 & $47 along with seven rolling Daily Doubles of $29, $17, $13, $22, $36, $26 & $12.

We now have a flat bet profit for the meet, have selected winners in 14 of our last 37, own a positive ROI for the last 518 races ( with 12 losses to spare ), and our elongated hot streak stands at 60 for 233 ( $466 Bet -- $659 Returned ).

Additionally, we'd like to thank all our readers here for their support on Preakness Day, as -- like Derby Day -- we set an all time high in readership for the afternoon.

I'd like to leave this bit of info here for y'all. When we're using the DRF Formulator platform while writing our columns, if we say "Sprints", for the most part we mean any one turn race, and when we say "Routes", we mean any TWO turn race. ( For example, we consider a 1 1/8th mile race at Belmont an elongated sprint, and a 6 1/2 furlong race at a Charles Town a route. ) We feel this way, because in our eyes, it's the number of turns that necessitate more energy than being relaxed on a straightaway. Sometimes the sample size for our study can be too large to manually break down, so there may be a few from one category in another, but usually the end result is pretty much the same!

Today's Beatable Favorite(s): None

I want to thank those that read my column, and have recently opened up accounts as a result of their fondness for what they see here. Belmont Park - 5/23

Race  1

1.Lady Fatima

2.Days of Spring

3.Main Squeeze

#6 LADY FATIMA ( one half of the uncoupled Mark Casse entry ) was an even 4th in the bow, but is decently bred for this sorta deal, and is eligible to improve in an indecipherable opener to the week. #4 DAYS OF SPRING is a late foal who split the field first time outta the box, but Pletcher adds the hood today, and paternal granddam was 3:2-0-1 on the gramma. Chance to move forward over firm ground. #8 MAIN SQUEEZE has been working exceptionally well for today's overture, ( bullet gate breezes ALWAYS merit inclusion ), and of course, we dig the outside slot. Note that the sire was 9:2-4-2 in turf dashes.  OFF TURF:2-8(MTO)-2-4-7

Race  2

1.Mary's Girl

2.Saratoga Style

3.First Forever

We have three decent DRF Formultor stats in play here, so let's get rigt to 'em in no frills fashion... #6 MARY'S GIRL: Schosberg ( from a small sampling ) is 4:2-0-1-1 when adding the hood to his mid level dirt stock off breaks of 4-50 days ( < 8-1 ). The winners came back $5 & $17, and gal has gone 43-46-46 in her fast track outings, so who knows where the ceiling is, and we'll tie our hopes to this feel good story. #7 SARATOGA STYLE: Miss has won two of three, and 10% Contessa is 9:4-2-2 with runners of this ilk who won 4-50 days back & are 5-1 or beneath ( positive ROI ). #2 FIRST FOREVER: Rice is a more than nice 7-16 with mid level dirt stock who got the diploma less than 38 days ago & are 6-1 or undah ( $3.50+ return on investment ).  NOTE: AS OF 2:04, DUE TO THE TRACK BEING WET, WE HAVE FLIP FLOPPED OUR TOP TWO SELECTIONS, BUT IF THE TARCK IS UPGRADED TO FAST, THEN OUR ORIGINAL CHOICES ARE IN PLAY.

Race  3

1.Queen Kahen

2.G.T. Sonia

3.Know Point Given

These three and no more for all our rolling action. #6 QUEEN KAHEN was a lively runner up at first asking for Rudy Rod, and $12,500 bred animal is dropped down to the 30K level today in hopes of procuring the sheepskin. Looking good. #1 G.T. SONIA is a bit of an in and outer, but drops for the second straight time today, and will be gunning from the inside. #7 KNOW POINT GIVEN is back down at a more realistic level this afternoon, and best effort came right here at Big Sandy. May spice things up a bit.

Race  4

2.King Cause

3.Brown entry

#4 MINTZ goes long and on the lawn for the first time today, and brings in a career best numero for the try. Sire was a perfect 3 for 3 on the green, and the dam finished 2nd in one of two tries over the stuff. Meeeeeeeekest selection in our fourth straight race where we were unable to eliminate anyone at first glance. #3 KING CAUSE has the blinkers re-affixed for the 2nd start for Magner, and although this is another one going over the blades for the 1st time, this one is a half to a 1 for 1 turfer, and with Giant's Causeway in the family tree, he should handle it just fine. Both the #1 FINANCIAL SYSTEM and the #1A UNLEVERAGED both comprise solid factions of the Chad Brown entry.  OFF TURF: 8(MTO)-4-10(MTO)-11(MTO)-2

Race  5

#6 BRONXVILLE was slightly disappointing in the most recent, but drops yet again today, and Handal is a tight 3 for 6 with maiden claiming dirt dashers who missed the board less than 40 days back & are 6-1 or below ( $6, $8 & $3 ). Encouraging to see Franco on once again. #2 THENORTHREMEMBERS undergoes a gamut of changes in this spot ( turf to dirt, two turns to one, special weight to a tag, and a bug at the helm ), and would only need to find one of those agreeable to make an impression versus these. #8 ZIPMAN was last seen on the left coast more than ten months ago, and after being purchased that afternoon, had his claim voided for one mystery reason or another. Runner has since been transferred over to a 29% "miracle man" ( who actually had a horse win by 31 lengths at Suffolk on Sunday ). Obvious factor if 100% sound.  NOTE: AS OF 12:11, DUE TO A LATE SCRATCH THE #5 WILL BE OUR 3RD SELECTION.  NOTE: AS OF 2:14, DUE TO THE TRACK BEING WET, THE #7 WILL BE OUR 3RD SELECTION., BUT IF THE TRACK IS UPGRADED TO FAST, THEN THE #5 WILL BE OUR 3RD CHOICE.

Race  6

1.Where's Rudy

2.Syock Trade

#2 WHERE'S RUDY has won three of four in his abbreviated career -- the most recent of which, was his first go round on the verde, as well as going long. Fella ended up in the Rice barn afterwards, and she owns a tidy little 5:3-2-0 ledger with first off the claim allowance turf stayers who scored less than 68 days back ( $13, $12 & $10 ). #5 STOCK TRADE ( as we're watching 'Wall Street" at 2:12 A.M. ) has essentially gone up and down the Beyer ladder in each and every start to date, so right off the bat, caveat emptor. That aside, Mott is a crisp 3-8 with runners of this ilk off breaks of 55-67 days ( $8, $6 & $13 ). #10 ROHRBACHER has yet to miss the $, and that's reason enough to include with this allotment.  OFF TURF: 2-1-11-3-12  NOTE: AS OF 12:12, DUE TO TWO LATE SCRATCHES, #'s 12 & 9 WILL BE OUR 2ND AND 3RD CHOICES RESPECTIVELY.

Race  7

1.To A Friend

2.Midnight Party

#6 TO A FRIEND outran her odds when completing the superfecta down in Hallandale Beach first out, and gets an appreciable jockey change while shedding 64 oz. today. Slight edge. #10 MIDNIGHT PARTY gets the wonder drug for the first time today, and we like the way this one displayed marked improvement from the first turf start to the 2nd. This one may be much better than the running lines belie. #2 DECORATING is a steady if not spectacular sort who is as good as any for the show dough.  OFF TURF: 10-4-6-2-3  NOTE: AS OF 2:24, WE HAVE FLIP FLOPPED OUR TOP TWO SELECTIONS.

Race  8

3.Bon Raison

#1 PRESERVATIONIST has been befallen by three extended breaks in the action, but six year old "horse" ( you hang on to those dangling participles, buddy ! ) has yet to miss the board, and pre-layoff pilot returns -- which we always dig. The only pause for the cause would be the two showings off the shelf, but we're getting picky there, aren't we? #2 EXPERT tries to get one for the thumb today, and do we really need to play up a runner who's won four straight? #5 BON RAISON owns a 4:2-0-2 boxscore in Elmont, and may come along late for a slice of the pie.

Race  9

1.Snake Oil Charlie

2.Francis Freud

3.Cause I'm Alex

#9 SNAKE OIL CHARLIE finished 2nd the last time he went from one turn to two on the lawn ( and at 25-1, no less ), and 5% Maroun is 2 fer 11 with turfers who missed the baccala less than a dozen days back ( 60-1 or lower ) with payoffs of $107 & $22. Diaz got an $80 winner home for us in an online contest Sunday, so we have a soft spot for him these days. #3 FRANCIS FREUD has been freshened up since finishing up the track @ the end of February, and we've always been fond of sprinters going long on the lawn for the firs time. #2B CAUSE I'M ALEX is not as good on the turf as the dirt, but it's difficult to ignore the class drop as well as the speed figures.  OFF TURF: 5-6-4-2B-7
